Love to Give is a family-run, NZ-based gift hamper company, creating unique gift boxes for a range of occasions using quality, NZ-made products.
It is said that it is in giving that we truly receive, and this adage sums up the ethos behind Love to Give.
Knowing that I could play a part in sharing joy, kindness and care when people need it the most is what motivated me to start Love to Give, and what continues to bring a sense of purpose to me every time a gift hamper goes out the door.
The phone call that changes it all
Love to Give hampers are about celebrating the good times and recognising the people you’re grateful for, but also about showing support to people who need it the most through their biggest challenges. Life can throw curveballs, and knowing the best way to help those close to us can often be difficult.
I understand that overwhelming feeling of helplessness. Like many of you may have also experienced, I one day received the devastating news from a beautiful friend about her cancer diagnosis. I had no idea what to say, or how I could help, but desperately wanted some way of showing her my support.
Finding the right gifts that said ‘I love and care for you’ wasn’t easy, which is why I began researching practical yet thoughtful gifts for those facing a devastating diagnosis or harsh medical treatments. I understand the tough journeys that so many face, and have carefully selected products that are suitable for those who are seriously ill, including chemo packs for
patients with cancer.
As the only gift hamper company in New Zealand that currently offers gifts specifically created for people with cancer, it is an honour knowing that I can help you give a gift that speaks volumes at a time when you may be struggling to find the right words.
Your giving goes further
For Love to Give, giving is not just about making a donation, it’s about making a difference. Therefore, giving back to the community is a value that sits at the heart of our business, and your purchases are the gifts that keep on giving. We donate monthly to KidsCan NZ, a charity that provides shoes, raincoats and school lunches for children in low-decile schools. We also proudly support the Cambodia Charitable Trust NZ, which provides teacher training, school uniforms, fresh water and other necessary equipment for Cambodian children in need.
Meet Vicki, the heart behind Love to Give
Celebrating the good times, as well as witnessing life’s challenges alongside you, is what keeps me appreciative of the small yet significant things in life. For me, that’s enjoying time with my family at our small lifestyle block north of Auckland, soaking in the beautiful rural countryside we are blessed to have surrounding us, or spending mindful moments watching the waves at a stunning New Zealand beach.
Whether it’s a thank you for a special client, a surprise for a loved one, or a sign of support for a sick friend, it’s humbling to help you spread love, kindness and happiness. Each Love to Give hamper is curated with empathy and understanding, each bow re-tied with love until it’s just right and each hamper sent for delivery with my heartfelt best wishes wrapped up inside with it.
